Prism started it all. My good friend Kieran had a great idea - get everyone out of it every other Friday night! And boy did we... Here are some original flyers, and posters from Aug '91 onwards.
We ran the gauntlet and organised some free parties at Forrest Hill which attracted up to 1000 people by the third event. This are the original flyer I put together myself, and started the craze of meeting at City Motors to find out where tonights rave would be!

We cleaned up our act when the hardcore started to get too hard! Spectrum followed and we rose like a phoenix from the ashes.
These photos speak for themselves. With the help of Shanks and Jase from Acidica we put on quite a show. Kieran invited national guest DJs.
There were plenty of other events starting in the area:
Working for Acidica we tried to compete with the big boys and put on our own large scale event. It was to prove the downfall for some.
But we were lucky enough to put on our own Spectrum tent at Tribal Gathering, just off the M4 near Bath.
After moving to Brighton I had some success with my own night - In 2 Deep.
The music lives on... watch this space for more photos and MP3s.
Tickets and other memorabilia:
the one that never happened! Public Enemy were alleged to be headlining at this one... A replacement party happened 2 weeks later in a Panasonic warehouse in Slough!
this is where we were New Years Eve 1990... where were you?
1991 was Fantazia, Exeter... have you still got the flyer?
